I have read all the comments, and would like to know if anyone has made any progress. I have been out of the original signature for a while. I would pay anything to get the real scent again.

I have been wearing Tova Signature since 1984. Made it MY signature. I was even signed up for automatic delivery every 4 months, Now it is gone :(
I used to pay about $45 for 3.5 oz. Now the new (icky) one is over $150.
In this economy who can pay that much for a scent that is not even close to as good as the original?
I have managed to create a close imitation using my own essential oils. But I will ALWAYS miss the original, signature parfum.

Tova seemed to be so proud of the magical perfume which had her name on it, I was as impressed with her as I was with her perfume.
I've never met her but I bet in the contract she made with QVC there is likely a clause which dictates no change in the formula. At least I hope so.
So, if any of you out there in California or if there's a way to contact her, I'd write her in a heart beat. For all we know, she's not aware of how QVC has both denigrated the product with her name on it, and also her good name. I wouldn't want to upset her as she seemed down to earth. But if there is a legal clause, not allowing a change in the "ORIGINAL" then darn it, she would likely take QVC down to the mat.
If anyone does have a website which reaches her or her secretarial staff directly, WOULD YOU PLEASE POST IT? I'm down to 3 sprays left in the bottle my sister who passed away 2 years ago, left to me. I guess in a way I feel as if QVC is making my own dear sister rolling over in her grave. My sis Eileen, is probably up there and along with the other good souls, are the ONLY ones who can still enjoy that Heavenly scent.
I'm STILL calling every week. Even during the pre-Christmas season, when QVC's Customer Service was overwhelmed, I took my good old time, telling each and every Cust. Srvc. person, the VERY LONG STORY about the "Bait and Switch" QVC pulled on its customers.
Having said that, I wish you all a Grand New Year and hopefully one where the QVC Buyers start listening to the REAL CUSTOMERS.

It is not hard to believe that QVC has not given us back our Tova original signature. First they watered it down, then they added seasons, then they packaged it so if you wanted it you had to buy it with the one you didn't want and then when you got is it wasn't the same anyway. I have been using Tova for over 25 years. I think I started using it about six months after it came on the market. Shame, Shame, Shame greed over public outcry. Maybe they just don't read the comments although I phoned several times and spoke to several people who claimed they would pass my comments on.

It's hard to believe that after thousands of letters and phone calls, no one at QVC has done anything to make the original Tova Signature Fragrance again!!!!!!
Why? I met Tova over 30 years ago when she first introduced her wonderful fragrance and have had a love affair with it until QVC took it over. Someone must be able to duplicate that wonderful scent. I know of hundreds of woman and men who would be willing to pay for the old Tova.
Sorry you sold us out Tova! We truly miss the only scent that was truly original.

After reading the most recent comments, it was clear my anger rose to an all time high. I spoke with Stephen or Stephen. I asked him was he actually in Administration as QVC's site alleges?
He said he was in CS. which means he is a "message taker". Never the less, I went on a rampage and I'd suggest, any of you who want the old TOVA back, do the same. I told him, not only on this site, QVC's as well, it appears no one is reading the Customers' comments. I also told him while I'm not a Chemist by profession, I am a nurse who thoroughly has a grasp on both at least basic and a great deal with Organiz chemistry. It is clear what they've done; they watered the solutions down. I was able to do a mini-experiment having the original Tova & Summer nights AND the TOVA, QVC is touting is the original. Here's the results. The REAL Original Tova, has signficiantly higher levels of essential oils in it; the "New" TOVA does not. You all can do the same thing. Spray both on your hands, the Original will be more slippery as the viscosity is thicker. The New Tova applied will make it more difficult for you to rub your hands together. Ergo, they have watered it down. I told Stephen the same. HE ASSURED ME HE WOULD READ THE VIRAL OUTRAGE OF THOSE WHO WANT THE ORIGINAL TOVA BACK! I said, while I don't think this is good customer support it is good business. If those who administrate QVC don't get it, they are IDIOTS.
All they'd need to do is make the original Tova with the ORIGINAL OILS IN THE SAME CONCENTRATIONS AND CHARGE ANOTHER $20/ BOTTLE.
I know if I was the Marketing Manager in ANY company and found a product was in demand but was being returned, they simply need to redirect their efforts. QVC needs to spend a bit more money on the product, then AS MOST VENDORS DO--PASS THE COST ON TO US. I know I am willing to spend a bit more, (quite a bit more) IF and only IF, they bring back the original formulation.
So, I hope you'll all call and specifically ask for this Stephen. Poor guy may lose his job but he was at least polite and listened to me. I am as you can tell, not a person who leaves any detail out. (It's the Nurse in me, I'd never want to harm a patient by forgetting even one detail).
Bottom line? CALL QVC over and over again. Writing by Snail Mail is even better. I'm going overseas on Jan 15th. If I find that either in London or Paris, I find the REAL original formula, I will post where you can find it with the overseas address.
In the meantime, Merry Christmas, Happy Chanuka, or whatever holiday you celebrate. My personal New Yr's Resolution: If QVC doesn't bring back the Original formulation, I'm ready to start a Class Action Suit again them. If they say they are selling the original but are sending one that's a "Bait and Switch"--that IS against the law.
I promised every women in my doctors' offices I'd get them TOVA for the holidays, NOW WHAT DO I DO? Get them a puppy instead? LOL

If we got enough people to annoy them & tie up their phones, perhaps getting a word through would work. I love so close to QVC, I am going to the headquarters and will probably get kicked out by security. I can't believe how impersonal they've become. It was we the faithful customers who made them the multibillion dollar company they are today. God, I remember if I did need to return something, everything went to West Chester,PA--no other address; I had it memorized.
Now they've become too big to listen? WEll the one thing I do know is the bigger they are, the harder they fall. If we all call on that particular Tuesday say around noonish for all time zones, perhaps Administration may just get a memo.
I did get a message from them but it was definitely the usual pre-written one. I have about 4 spritzes of the Original TOVA left from my sister who passed away. I can only use it for very special occasions now as the Tova Summer scent was gone completely by the time I left the house last week, as I went to church. We have the numbers to pull this off. Call them on the 20th noonish, and order a bottle of TOVA Summer then immediately return it, with the ITEM WAS DEFECTIVE. I found out if you put that down on a return ticket, they can't charge you for any Shipping & Handling. I'm calling, and I hope others will as well.

I've been a long time customer to QVC., 25 or more years. What are they doing? Since Tova Borgnine introduced TOVA FOR MEN I've purchased it. It has lived up to it's promotion. I was so impressed that I bough it all the years Tova was on QVC. Then QVC purchased Tova's company and stopped making this wonderful fragrance. Over the years I've wrote, asking to bring back TOVA FOR MEN, even if they brought it once or twice a year, maybe for Christmas. I never received a word. Since then I've found bottles on e-bay, now that supply has expired. I read inquire after inquire from men asking if anyone has this fragrance. What is wrong with QVC to stop a product so well liked, this was a quality product which I believe the Q stood for. Very sad.

I was surprised when my daughter asked me to get her Tova for Christmas seems she always liked it and now I know why I seemed to run out of it so quickly years ago! Now I find out you can't even get it unless you want a knock off brand by QVC. What a shame and it's so true that when I wore it the first time I was stopped by a complete stranger wanting to know what I was wearing. Why do people always try to fix what works and not broken?? QVC used to be better when Kathy Levine and the others in that circle were there. Please bring back the original Tova!!! You're losing not only business but what used to be your loyal followers!!

I'm so ticked off with QVC. They used to be a reliable TV shopping network...since well before 1991!
Since the Administration has changed, I say we all decide on a date each month, to write how horribly we've been treated and YES, lied to.
If anyone has a better idea, I'm all ears. I have a couple bottles of the original left and I'm almost afraid to use it except for special holidays.
I say we "DUMP" our comments on QVC in any fashion possible. My suggestion is, the first of each month we complain how QVC has watered down the Original TOVA for their greedy profits.

The TOVA scent has changed dramatically; it's needs to be evaluated by Tova Borgnine herself as too many customers will find a new fragrance to wear.
Each Christmas, I always sent my customers all over the USA & particularly in the UK, the traditional TOVA "Eau de Parfum" 30ml spray as gifts. I'd purchase them from QVC and then send 39 gifts to the decision makers in hospitals. These were nurses traditionally who when they noted my TOVA scent, instantly wanted to know: "What are you wearing? That scent is the most beautiful I've ever encountered. Now I'm a bit reluctant to send them this year as the original scent is not the same. It definitely does not last as long, does not have the same effect, and certainly the "Summer Collection" is markedly different.
I hope both TOVA and the TOVA Collection of Beverly Hills Quality Control Dept. reads the evaluations made on the QVC website when inputting "TOVA"
As a nurse who both teaches how to use computerized patient care monitoring and the person who also is the face of our company USA MADE ELECTRONICS, I certainly hope, the changes made to the original TOVA scent is changed back to how it was manufactured when it first was aired on QVC years ago.

I received a free sample in the mail when the original TOVA came out and I've been wearing it ever since. I had the feeling that it may not be available for long because I liked it...I have a history of things being discontinued when I like them...so, I bought a bottle of it every time I could. Now I'm getting low and to find out that it is no longer available is heart breaking! People ask me all the time what kind of perfume I'm wearing. I could cry knowing it isn't even being produced anymore, and to read these comments, I can't believe QVC would change something so beautiful and popular. I am so disappointed.

I checked out the website you posted and can't find the TOVA version.
Yes, I'm desperate to find SOMETHING as close to the ORIGINAL scent as possible. I really love the smell and refuse to by QVC's product. I've read in other threads about QVC's Tova where the consumer had stored the fake perfume for a few years, and when they pulled it out it "aged" into a very similar TOVA smell. I don't know if they're right or what, but waiting for it to age?!?!? Seriously?

I have worn different perfume since I was a teenager - from Miss Dior on. Until I found Tova signature Original scent, I was not content. The perfume was long lasting. People often asked me what perfume I was wearing. I would be willing to pay the difference if manufacturing it today, with the original scent, was increasingly more expensive. QVC's corporate office is listed on their website in West Chester, PA. Also their website is given. We should all email and write to marketing and customer service urging them to reissue that wonderful perfume. Also urge them to read the comments that have been made here on line.. To all you Tova Signature lovers - there's a website (www.scentsbythebay.com) that copies designer fragrances by using oils, no alcohol. I just ordered a TOVA, so I don't know what it smells like, but I can tell you I've ordered designer scents in the past that have been dead ringers for the originals - actually, they almost smell better and last longer because they are pure oils!!! Absolutely wonderful!

The International Fragrance Association (IFRA) in Europe is to blame for the destruction of many beautiful perfumes. I don't know if they're specifically the reason Tova Signature was destroyed, but former beautiful classics like Guerlain's Mitsouko and L'Heure Bleu have been changed into synthetic plastic smelling horrors because of the strict IFRA regulations against using real ingredients like oakmoss. Like everything else politically correct and "green", the IFRA wants to impose its beliefs onto consumers by pretending they care about the consumers' health. What they're doing is forcing all the perfumers to use synthetic ingredients rather than real ones, thus completely changing the smell of perfume - in most cases, destroying them. Folks, we have no choice but to accept that the environmental Nazis are now in charge of the perfumery business and are enforcing their beliefs on all of us. Get used to ALL perfume smelling the same - like burnt plastic or chemicals. Thus is life in this 21st century. :(

My sister didn't wear perfume, because of alergies, until I introduced her to this perfume. I have been using the fragrance for years and loved it and had lots of compliments. Tova please listen to us. We are all pleeing to you. Your scent was so clean and it made me feel so good. When you changed our frosty bottle to that gaw awful clear one, you took the scent with it. Qvc is not listening to us but I though maybe you would., please tova I will even pay more for it. I have yet to find a perfume that gave me the confidence that your frosty tova signature gave me. We all have bragged to you about the compliments we all received, that's a big plus to you, I can't understand why you would ruin your reputation on some terrible , cheap smelling perfume. I wore Tova signature for 25 years. In the beginning, the same person called on a regular basis and made sure I had plenty on hand. Once Tova went on QVC, things went downhill and continued until the scent changed and now even the bad version is not available. No reward from Tova for being a loyal customer and none from QVC. I will not wear it again, even though all my children associate that scent with me. I wouldn't give anybody a dime and don't think I would take a free bottle. I also frequently gave it as a gift any many more people became loyal fans. I will use Annick Goutal from now on. Oh, and I will never use QVC again. Ever!

Are you sitting down? At present an eBay seller has priced allegedly (who knows?) original Tova at over $740 per bottle. Insane. I'm just watching to see if/when someone buys it at that price.
What's mysterious to me is that QVC has practically discontinued Tova Signature. If you check their website, they're really just selling Platinum and it's discounted, so they must be blowing it out. I'm wondering whether they're going to relaunch the original formulation. I should say "hoping." Surely, if women are paying several hundred dollars for what they believe/hope is the original, QVC must know that they had a cash cow until they messed with the formula. Any bets on what QVC will do next with Tova?

I heard that people are asking over $300.00 a bottle for the Original scent.
I cannot believe that QVC changed the formula using cheaper ingredients. Everyone I know when they ordered it throught QVC, not knowing it was not the oridinal scent, returned the perfume.
It is not even close to the original scent, as a matter of fact it has a terribe scent. I would not use it if they were offering it free.

My bottle is emptly. I just finished my last drop of the orginal TOVA perfume and I'm frustrated. After years of wearing the orginal perfume I am now looking for a replacement for my favorite perfume. I tried the other products promoted by Tova and found them disappointing.

I too am disappointed since I have been a loyal fan since 1982 and have worn no other fragrance. Cannot understand why QVC would purchase Tova, change the fragrance and lose millions because they thought her fans would not notice the difference. I find it insulting that QVC claims they are selling the original and that it could have been the change in the bottle design (which Tova herself tried to sell as a reason). QVC has market power and I don't think the Tova line is important to them any longer, a true loss for us!
Has anyone found any other fragrance that is comparable to Tova, the original?

So disappointing that Tova original is no longer available. :( The one selling on QVC is NOT the same scent. I returned it with great disappointment and cannot understand why the original was changed. Obviously, many women did NOT develop any rashes from it. Bring the original back... please!

Like everyone else I am sad, my husband loved this scent and so did my children now I can not locate it and the stuff on QVC is not the same. I think some of the originals are also clear with the QVC name on them. Always ask the seller what the label reads to get an idea. The original bottle also reads made in France.

Post Script: Most of the sellers on eBay have no idea whether what they are selling is the "original" Tova formula or not. Indeed, someone recently described the 3.3 oz. bottle in the tall light blue box as "original" and prospective purchasers bid the price up quite high. When I sent that seller a private message pointing out that the description was inaccurate, (s)he confessed that they had no idea what "original" actually means. There are undoubtedly Tova-lovers paying $150.00+ for EDP that is actually worth one-fifth that price. It's very difficult to determine what's original based on the shape of the bottle. Bottom line: caveat emptor (buyer beware)!

After reading the post below regarding Oakmoss Absolute, I did a quick search online to see whether it was banned. It appears to be restricted in the EU, but not banned completely. Apparently, the concentration cannot exceed 0.1% in the finished product. In any event, that particular essential oil doesn't strike me like one that would have been present in high concentrations in the original Tova formulation. I think the more prominent fragrance oils in Tova were jasmine, lavender, sandalwood, bergamot and musk. So I'm not sure Oakmoss, or lack thereof, is the problem with the later formulation.
I believe that the fragrance was manufactured in Europe earlier; I've read that some older bottles said "Made in France." The older Tova formulation was probably made with expensive natural essential oils and, as with everything, the price of those oils probably goes up every year. I suspect that the manufacturing process and ingredients may have been changed, particularly if, as I've read, QVC bought-out the Tova fragrance line and took over the manufacturing process. That's what the shopping channels do: they use their own manufacturers so they can lower the cost and increase their margins. Most newer fragrances are made with synthetic (i.e., lab-created) ingredients, which are less costly than natural essential oils, interact with body chemistry differently and have less staying power. New Tova is a different formulation and I wouldn't expect it to ever smell the same again unless QVC sends the manufacturing back to the original facility in France, and theyuse the exact same natural ingredients in the exact same proportions. The product wouldn't be cheap, but if you watch the auctions on eBay you can see that the women who love the original fragrance are certainly willing to pay for it. Sign me up!

I have also been a fan of the original TOVA Signature for almost 18 years. The new one is NOT the same.
I did some snooping around the internet and think I have stumbled onto an answer to why the old TOVA isn't made anymore. This is only MY opinion.
Something called the European Union (apparently they regulate the ingredients that go into perfumes)has banned some ingredients that are used in the higher end fragrances.
Something called "Oakmoss Absolut" has been banned as a possible skin irritant. It is also an ingredient that gives fragrances their staying power. (I am not sure if that is used in TOVA)Also mentioned was Absolute Jasmine, which is one of the ingredients in TOVA Signature.
Why can't they just put a warning on the label stating something like "If rash developes, discontinue use." Not only is TOVA not the same, but a lot of the other higher end fragrance houses will have to or have already, had to reformulate their fragrances.
I don't know why QVC can't just come clean and tell us the reason for all fragrances in the TOVA line had to be reformulated, instead of insulting our intelligence by saying that it just 'seems' to smell different because it's in a different bottle! Please! We are NOT that stupid. Thousands of loyal users can't be wrong!

Not a day goes by that someone doesn't ask me what I'm wearing. They take out a pen and actually write it down. It sells itself.

I can't even imagine wearing anything else. I hope they come to their senses and bring it back. If not I will not be purchasing any more TOVA products. I do not believe QVC when they say to thousands of loyal customers that the Tova fragrance has not been changed because it has. It smells off and it smells cheap.

TOVA original signature fragrance was the one and only constant in my life when it came to fragrance. I know we can't stop progress or change but the company that brought out TOVA should admit up front that they have changed the formula and that they don't intend to ever use the original ingredients to create this special fragrance. Perhaps some of the items in this fragrance have increase considerably in price, but let the consumer make their decision to pay the higher pay for the original product. I know I would and I'm certain there are many other people out there that feel the same. Shame on you for trying to deceive us.

Afew months ago I placed an order for Tova's Signature Fragrance on QVC and was surprised to find that only the Plantinum fragrance was available. I thought "this must be even better" boy was I wrong! I too noticed that something just wasn't right. It doesn't have that special smell that people notice and definitely doesn't last at all. They tried to duplicate it in a cheaper way, but didn't suceed. Unless something is done to bring back what we all loved, I too, will not order this any more - how sad.

I introduced my daughter to TOVA SIGNATURE FRAGRENCE about 15 years ago. I had been buying it for several years myself. It became her signature fragrence, but last several years she cannot locate it. She ordered from QVC and it was terrible- not the origional formula. Why can't QVC duplicate the origional and change the name of the cheeper stuff they are selling as "The Original Fragrence" which is not true. If anyone knows how we can get the real Origional Fragrence, please advise. Thanks.

Oh my, I too have been wearing Tova to the delight of all around me for so many years..there is no other scent that gets that many raves when worn except for our beloved Tova. I just ordered it from QVC only to learn that it is backordered. I had NO idea that they had changed the formula :-(. Well, I ordered it..so hopefully it will be OK since so many have complained. Where is the integrity of Tova, after gong through so much and getting so much pubilcity, she is silly not to take notice of what her followers are saying. Hope that she gets the message.

I am 27 and I started wearing Tova 9 years ago (I got the wonderful scent from my aunt), however the last time I bought Tova was 3 years ago. My husband LOVES the scent on me, and now that we finally got around to having enough money so I can restock, THEY CHANGE IT!! I was about to buy the "improved" Signature without hesitation until I started reading the comments. And now I'm searching on Google from site to site trying to find the ORIGINAL and ALL the comments are the same!!! I'm really sad that my product has changed, this perfume really makes me feel better about myself everytime I wear it.
If anyone is planning any kind of petition or something to bring back the ORIGINAL TOVA SIGNATURE please contact me!!!

If you listen to the qvc program when she is on, she is trying to sell the new Tova signature???. That she went back whever to try to find the same ingridents as the original. I agree with every one else. I too used to get several comments on how good I smelled and the scent used too last for hours. Now it smells awful like bug spray!! I hate it!!
I thought QVC was a quality establishment and would keep the integrity of the perfume. Boy, was I wrong!!

I have been purchaseing Tova Signature Fragrance since 1989. I was her biggest fan. I have been on a mission to locate someone that has the original fragrance to replacee mine that is half full. I don't think it will even faze qvc of the comments that are made. They are in the money making business, not the customer satifaction business.
I am surprised that Tova is still promoting a not up to standard product. I am sure she has no control of how they make her fragrance. She gave up thay right.

OMG! I thought it is just me, I am going bonkers trying to figure it out why I cannot buy the signature perfume, I have been using this for at least 20 years and it became my signature - in fact somebody stop me one time and said, what made you stop using your perfume, they always enjoy me passing by everyday, and now they miss it. How can Tova let her name on this fake signature fragrance it is a shame, I will never buy anything of her product. Perhaps we will all forward all this email to QVC, so they will realize what a big mistake they made. TOVA you can redeem yourself by taking it back although I know it is impossible. What a shame....

I realize that after Tova Borgnine sold her company to QVC-- the executives decided to create a cheap version of the original product, which shows their lack of understanding as to what the consumer wants but also, their lack of integrity as a company and the individual managing it. They are a disgrace and we, the consumers, who experienced the original Tova line are disappointed beyond words, not only in the fact that QVC Execs. changed this product to line their pockets with more money but then, they lied to cover it up, once they were brought to the carpet on it. Sell the company back to Tova, she would never sacrifice quality the way you have and then, go on to lie about it. Very disappointing, they should be ashamed of themselves.

I'm French and I've tried many perfumes in my life (Im' a fan). I have lived in the US for many years and discovered Tova signature. Like many of you, I've had so many compliments (at work, among friends and family, even in the subway!) whenever I was wearing it. Now, back in France, Tova Signature remains my favorite perfume of all. They don't deliver it in France, so I order it over the phone, have it shipped to a friend's who live in NY and then have my friend sent it to me. That's how much I love this perfume and, even in France, I got many compliments about it. Now, yes, I am very disapointed because it has changed: the smell is kind of the same, but it does not last that long anymore. Before, I didn't have to use so much of it and it used to last until the end of the day. Not anymore. I'm ready to pay more money to have the original version back. Please give us back our old Tova Signature, we don't care about a prettier bottle, we want original smell!

I was a loyal Tova Signature purchaser from QVC. The scent is not the same at all. I find it hard to believe that Tova herself is not able to tell that her scent is not the same as it used to be. I feel duped by QVC as well as Tova by being told that the scent never changed & if it did, it's back to "normal". I'm not willing to purchase it ever again. Which is a shame because that's the only scent I've worn for years.

It is really sad when this happens. A perfume you love like Tova Signature is not the same wonderful scent it used to be.
Of course it's difficult to say, if the new owner QVC really changed the Tova Signature fragrance for the worse. They claim not to.
But if several loyal users say it smells different, I tend to believe them. Maybe Joy is right and they tried to cut costs and save on the super expensive oil fragrance imported from France.
Call QVC with your complaints, but this might not impress them very much. What big companies really dislike is bad publicity.
Make your disgust public! Post your comments, discuss in forums, write a blog, etc. If many people feel the same as you do, I'm sure, this bad publicity will make QVC change the formula back to the original one, if they changed it in the first place, that is.

Hello, I have been wearing Tova Signature for 8 years, but like you the last bottle I received (the new pretty bottle) was pathetic. I thought maybe I had just got a bad batch or something and didn't think much about it.
Well, come to find out QVC has taken over and in my opinion they have either watered it down, or tried to make a synthetic scent from the Oil(???)that is imported from France which cost 76,000 a pound!
I guess they thought loyal users wouldn't notice. Give me a break! I called QVC and they said the formula was exactly the same. Of course it's not.
I even called a chemical analysis company to see if they could "deformulate" the 2 perfumes to find out what the difference is. Oh, they can but at a price tag of 20 to 30,000 dollars. I about fell over.
All we can do is hope that Tova see's all the complaints and insists that since her name is still on the bottle that QVC respects her integrity and to bring back the original formula. I would by it even if it costs more. So call and voice your complaints to QVC. That's all I can think to do.

I have wearing tova signature for about 3 years now, and now all of a sudden the smell has changed...
Is there a problem with this? I miss my family saying I smelled good all of the time. And my co-workers loved it also. But now, It smells like watered Tova and paint thinner...more alcohol than fragrance. I miss Tova original...
Can I please know why this happen. For the third time this year; I am sending my tova signature to qvc for a full refund. I wont be buying this again until the fragrance is like it used to be.
