Hugo Boss Fragrance
Unlike many perfumes, the first Hugo Boss fragrance was decidedly masculine. Boss Number 1 is an aromatic fragrance that spoke distinctively to the man of the 1980s with a unique base that has never been duplicated even by its parent company, Hugo Boss.
Hugo Boss? Becoming Boss Number 1
Hugo Boss began as a family operated company in 1923 Germany that specialized in the manufacture of men's clothing. Because of alleged ties with Nazi Germany, after WWII they became relatively obscure and remained so until after the death of its namesake and founder in 1948. In the early 1950s, family management revived the company and began paving a path to success. However, it wasn't until some 30 years later, in 1985, that Hugo Boss released its first fragrance, Boss Number 1.
Since the 80s to the present, Hugo Boss continues to create distinctive perfumes, extending its perfume lines to include eleven men's fragrances and four Hugo Boss fragrances for women. In addition, Hugo Boss has split into several subsidiaries, each with its own specialty and line of Hugo Boss perfumes.
Hugo Boss for Men
Along with its premiere fragrance, Boss #1 , Hugo Boss fragrances for men include Baldessarini , Boss, Boss in Motion Green Edition, Boss Soul , Boss Spirit , El�ments , Elements Aqua , Hugo , Hugo Dark Blue , and the newest Hugo Energise . Main base elements used in the Hugo Boss men's line are the woody (foug�re), the aromatic, and the oriental with focus on the very modern, enterprising young man, determined to get what he wants out of life.
Hugo Boss for Women
The original Hugo Boss perfumes for women were a fruity and floral trio, each fragrance designed to represent a female characteristic? the unconventional, the active, and the enterprising, urbane woman. The newest entry in the Hugo Boss line of women's perfumes is, Boss Intense , which uses an oriental base and speaks to the results oriented woman who dares to stand at the helm and control her own destination in life.
