Hugo Boss – Becoming Boss N° 1

Hugo Boss began as a family operated company in 1923 Germany that specialized in the manufacture of men’s clothing. Because of alleged ties with Nazi Germany, after WWII they became relatively obscure and remained so until after the death of its namesake and founder in 1948. In the early 1950s, family management revived the company and began paving a path to success. However, it wasn’t until some 30 years later, in 1985, that Hugo Boss released its first fragrance, Boss N° 1.
